Blooming Dahlias

I wasn't sure if dahlias would grow well here in the low desert climate of Riverside.  They are growing very well.    I have learned a couple things.   The prefer to be planted in the ground rather than a raise bed.  The ones in the raised beds aren't as big and seem to growing slower.
