Prickly Pear Cactus Blooming

The prickly pear cactus is blooming at my farm.   The cactus is quite large and looks old.   The prickly pear cactus is native to this area and this one looks very old.   The prickly pear is a edible with two parts that are eaten.  The flowers will form a pod that is sweet and used to make prickly pear nectar.  The paddles or main part of the cactus are used to make hispanic dishes.    They are called Nopalito's

Here are some images of the flowers and also the entire cactus.  It looks like its about 10-12 feet tall.
